My name is Russell Allen, founder and operator of My Property Inspector. For nearly 30 years, my wife, Ellen, and I have proudly called Ohio home. We raised two outstanding young men—both graduates of The Ohio State University—who now live and work right here in Columbus. Ellen runs a successful accounting firm, and together we’re grateful for the opportunity to serve the people and businesses of Central Ohio.

My path to home inspection is built on more than three decades of experience as a sales professional, consultant, team leader, and home improvement contractor. Over the years, I’ve learned how to communicate clearly, solve problems, lead teams, and understand homes from the inside out. Those experiences, combined with a lifelong passion for home remodeling, repair, and maintenance, make home inspection the perfect fit.

Today, I bring that diverse background—and a healthy obsession with evaluating home systems—to every inspection I perform. My goal is simple: to give you clarity, confidence, and peace of mind as you make one of the biggest investments of your life.
