About Us

My name is Russell Allen, and I am the founder and operator of My Property Inspector. My wife, Ellen, and I have been residents of Ohio for nearly 30 years. Together, we raised two awesome young men who both graduated from the Ohio State University and along with us, reside and are employed right here in Columbus. Ellen stays busy with her own successful accounting firm, and we couldn’t be happier serving the people and businesses of central Ohio.

My path to home inspections includes a professional background of 30+ years as a sales professional, consultant, and team leader with different companies and across a variety of industries. During that time, I operated my own home improvement contracting business. After a lifetime of learning, selling, leading teams, and practicing home remodeling, repair and maintenance, home inspection is the perfect fit! This profession gives me the unique opportunity to combine the skills I have acquired over a diverse career, with a healthy obsession for evaluating and inspecting home systems.
